Completely unacceptable product and service
On November 4th, 2023, I stopped into a WingStop establishment for my very first time. I've heard favorable things about them in other locations from other people (friends and the like...) I must say I was completely disappointed because I was not greeted upon entry for one thing. It was a very uncomfortable scene surrounding me as there were people sitting at tables waiting for their order and no one at the counter. When I had to call for someone to take my order and get some advice as to what it was, I did not make any special or deviate from my initial order. Later after reviewing my receipt, I noticed it says "no pickles". Was it supposed to come with pickles? I didn't say anything about pickles. And I love pickles! Why were they not on them? But that is another matter... Perhaps there was a cultural difference or she just had an attitude of some sort having a bad day which can be understandable, but regardless I did not feel welcome and I was worried that I was paying for something that I was not going to receive. A LONG time later, a man came to me with a small plastic black box. This was after he at least nicely handed me a cup and pointed me to the soda fountain where I could dispense my soda wanting a Dr Pepper which came with the value meal. There was very little ice and that's okay I understand how they need to be refilled from time to time. But when I pushed the lever for my Dr pepper, it's splattered and sprayed all over me and my nice clothes as I work as a professional and I noticed that the distributor top cap that goes for the fountain was not on it which directs the liquid into the cup. I immediately alerted the gentleman about this and he said that he thought it may be out. I as an ex bartender showed him how you can unscrew one of the tops from another soda pop variety and screw it easily back onto the Dr Pepper one which I desired, but it's sort of had some Dr Pepper syrup in it and he was right it was mostly soda water. But at least it went directly in the cup. So here goes the main question: why was there no sign that simply stated for all; " OUT OF ORDER"!? And why would someone take off the distribution funnel thing that puts the liquid into a cup directly instead of all over someone's (good) clothes? This made me angry, but I kept it to myself. I then had to ask him for a straw but he was distracted by using his telephone for something and finally after asking a second time he did hand me one from behind the counter. I appreciate it that and told him so.
Coming back to my box, I opened it and found a bed of dirty unchanged grease with a very small portion of incredibly soaked (what I think was chicken in a DRENCHED roll) with some kind of sauce on it next to a giant lump of incredibly soggy drenched french fries that were at one time cooked but in what small portion there was it was hard to determine if they were thoroughly cooked or not or just dumped in filthy oil. One thing that I know for sure from experience working in kitchens, that they obviously did not shake the grease from either the chicken or the fries they just lopped it into the plastic containment system making it appear incredibly cheap not to mention unappetizing. I was very very hungry and I had waited a long time and paid a good amount for this so I figured okay I would just try to scrape off some of the grease and pat it with many paper towels which took quite some time to find as there were no napkins anywhere to be found on any table or counter but to no avail. Still I took a few bites and I must say that was the absolutely worst meat or material something like that I have ever experienced in my mouth and very difficult to even swallow as it was just that greasy. I was very upset and so to make up for it because I was so hungry and waited so long I decided to order some extra blue cheese as a side to try to make amends in grabbing some flavor to whatever it was I was consuming. The blue cheese container which comes in two sizes, are completely overpriced. Even the small container was $1.49 and it had NO resemblance whatsoever to blue cheese in my opinion. It was a very thin Ranch like liquidy substance. Regardless, I took a couple forks (yes, that took some hunting for as well) to try to get this substance allegedly considered food into my system as I was running out of time and had to return to work. As I was trying to make some common sense out of what you would attempt to call a meal, in comes a guy storming about how people cannot be blowing up his phone and complaining how he had been up late last night and should not be bothered by the crew. I noticed him get behind the counter and still yelling at the only two people that were sort of working behind the counter. I understand they were short staffed, and I kind of felt bad for him. That being said however, it should never be brought into the workplace about how they were calling him and your personal problems about being up too late last night and having your phone ringing off the hook when you are needed at your place of employment. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon! I don't see any logic whatsoever in anyone complaining about a night before partying too hard and having their phone ring when their place of employment required their services. This gentleman went further in the back and continued his tirade so much so that you couldn't help but hear him. Another reason for this onslaught of his tirade is because there was no music or ambience whatsoever in the entire restaurant. It was like a mortuary soundwise. There was absolutely nothing to make anyone feel welcome or comfortable or at ease as it was as quiet as a funeral home except for the occasional clanging of something in the back. I required some more paper towels which I could not find so I went to the men's room to retrieve some.
Let's talk about completely disgusting! There were lumps of wet paper towels and toilet paper on the floor. The toilet was completely backed up with *** and other papers and God only knows what else and had an odor that was completely intolerable. The walls were greasy and the mirror was smeared. I almost vomited. I walked out of there in such a huff and I was okay trying to get back to my car until finally one of the other customers (remember other customers?) went to the counter and asked politely where their orders were as they had been waiting so long probably for takeout or whatever. One of the people said something and the man who walked in with the tirade complaining about his hangover loudly told him: "it comes when it comes; just have a seat and be patient!"... and I mean loud!! One of the other customers who was also waiting this whole time got up and said "look: you can't talk to people like that ...we're customers and have been waiting patiently" whereupon he replied something under his breath of "I'll talk to anyone anyway I like!" That's when I chose to do an about face from exiting the store even though I was already late returning back to work. Approaching the counter, I asked the lady there who didn't understand me initially who the manager was. She said that he was as I looked at the man who came in late. I said oh, okay. "And what is your name? Are you indeed the manager? " He then replied sharply that it doesn't matter. And I replied "Really? ...you won't even give your name??" That is considered unfair practices when someone has a problem including your crew obviously who's shorthanded and cannot maintain the basic upkeep for a restaurant, you can at least give me your name. He refused. I went back to the lady, and I said what's his name? Then she whispered (for him not to hear) "Barry". I found this to be the last straw and completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from anyone. I said "Sir, I hope you enjoy your job because I can see that you don't here. I'm referring of course to a job that you will not be having here but somewhere where you may be better suited. He sneered at me in a very unkind way and I wished him a nice day anyway as I left. After I got in my car, I thought about it awhile and I said to myself "no this is definitely something that should definitely be reported asap." I think the Better Business Bureau would like to hear about this. Fortunately, I kept the receipt. It does have my name on it although it says "curbside order" --which it was not, as I stated various times that this order was "for here", as I wanted to sit down and eat. (even in silence watching other people wait).
The store number is 791. Their address is 2118 Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It does not show a zip code. I'm sorry to rant on like this as it is something I never do, but with the total cost of what you would attempt to call a chicken sandwich with a small pile of soggy fries and an extra order of what you would attempt to call blue cheese dressing I spent over $11 and I was sick the rest of the day and when I got home I did indeed lose my lunch. I am very upset and I want you to know that I never complain or have an unkind word to say to anyone. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially those in the food service industry, as it is a demanding job especially when shorthanded. I respect and appreciate their efforts, but certainly not in this case. What exactly is Wingstop prepared to do to make amends for this situation? I would appreciate confirmation that this long-winded review has been considered and valued and repercussions given as well as reparations for my horrible experience. Please feel free to call anytime. I look forward to hearing someone of a professional nature speak to me about how such things can actually occur and how the public should actually be treated in a much more pleasant congenial manner.
Appreciatively and professionally,
A.D. Tex MacKenzie

I received a gift card email today after my online order yesterday was botched! However, as a good gesture this may seam to you, the gift card amount does not even cover the meal that was incorrectly made, much less cover the out-of-pocket cost for its re-delivery!
My wings were undercooked, with slightly soft skins, when I asked for "extra cooked", my large sweet tea came to me as a dark soda in a 1/2 full large cup.
Because this store seams to have an issue with making orders correctly, after I ordered, I called the restaurant to verify they could see my order as I ordered it; they were able to repeat it exactly how I inputted it. I then asked if I could get extra seasoning on the wings and was told, ok, will do! They wrote the drink on the bag correctly, but I still received my order wrong & hardly any seasoning at all. I tried calling back to see if I could send a friend in to get the order corrected, due to me being immobile, but they didn't answer their line.
I'm out $25, but wing stop only offered $10?! Disappointing!
- Delicious when the order is correct
- Cant seam to get a correct order even with a follow up call

Verified Buyer |Recent visit
I recently visited Wingstop for the first time, and the experience was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment I walked in, I encountered an employee with a terrible attitude at the register.
But the real nightmare began when we accidentally spilled some sauce. Despite our efforts to clean it up, we were met with ridicule from two younger employees.
"You have two hands, don't you?"
"You're a grown adult, aren't you?"
"You made the mess, didn't you?"
These were the snarky remarks they threw at us. When I asked them to clean it up, they had the audacity to retort, "Do you clean a mess at your dinner table, oh wait you probably dont, you make your wife do it."
I was beyond shocked at their disrespectful behavior. Even after I requested to speak with the manager, they insisted that their GM had instructed them to make me clean up the spill myself, a claim the manager later refuted.
Throughout the ordeal, these two employees continued to verbally attack me, making the situation even more intolerable.
It took the intervention of four other employees to finally calm them down. Their conduct was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed and disgusted. Wingstop needs to address this issue promptly to prevent such disgraceful behavior from recurring.
The disrespect and unprofessionalism displayed by these employees were utterly appalling. Their sarcastic and demeaning remarks not only ruined the dining experience but also left a sour taste in my mouth.
It was disheartening to see such blatant disregard for customer service and basic decency.
As I attempted to reason with them and seek assistance from the manager, they persisted in their disrespectful behavior, showing no remorse or willingness to rectify the situation. Their lack of accountability and empathy only exacerbated the situation, making it clear that they were not fit to be in a customer-facing role.
It is unfathomable that employees representing a well-established restaurant like Wingstop would stoop to such levels of unprofessionalism. The fact that it took the intervention of multiple other employees to quell their behavior speaks volumes about the toxic work culture that may be prevalent within the establishment.
In addition to addressing this specific incident, Wingstop needs to reevaluate its hiring and training practices to ensure that such behavior is not tolerated in the future.
Customers should feel valued and respected when dining at any establishment, and the behavior exhibited by these employees falls far short of that standard.
Overall, my experience at Wingstop was marred by the abhorrent behavior of its employees. It is my hope that the management takes swift and decisive action to address this issue and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
